In 1996 I started my own business called Central Excavations Holdings Ltd. My excavation business specialised in General excavation work in and around the Hamilton and the Waikato. When I started my business all those years ago we only had a few farming clients, however that side of the business grew and we were finding ourselves doing more and more Cowshed building sites, farm race maintenance and new farm race construction which eventually developed into Dairy farm conversions, Cattle underpasses, Live gas pipeline digging and difficult excavations.
In 2004/5 I started selling and laying zeolite, which produced some really good feedback. The farmers were saying things like no loose stones on the yard, less lame cows, better cow-flow, etc. One farmer in Morrinsville, rang me to say how much it saved them in Vet expenses.
As my confidence had grown so much in the product I proposed taking over the quarry and doing all the processing work for the BPM refinery, which we did. The rest is history.
My wife Leanne and myself developed the StockRock product over the next 5 years. In 2010 we sold 27,234 ton and the potential benefits of StockRock were well publicised and starting to make an impact. The quarry needed some new machinery and a lot of investment so BPM bought us out after our 5 years of commercialising StockRock and gave the quarry and the brand what it needed. I now work for BPM in a role of StockRock Product manager and still drive and manage the Brand.
I am so passionate about StockRock these days and really enjoy working here. I enjoy working for people who are like minded in the pursuit of success and people who know what they need to do to achieve it. “STOCKROCK ROCKS”
